To Badly Go?

This isn't a proper post, this is something from a few days ago and it wasn't even me and you can't blame me and hey shut up okay? Uh anyway what's actually happened here is, my cousin Nikki wanted some pics for her blog which is here: http://babeindreamland.blogspot.co.uk/ and so me and my dear Lyra (who doesn't blog, no link for you) got our geek on to help out.

These classic Trek uniforms we're all rocking are by Heirloom Treasures at the Kid to Kid event, and come in TD Baby and Kid size, and include shoes, which ain't half bad. The set we're using is DRD's Sci Fi Studio from a gacha, and is quite Adult, so we're not using the poses from it >.>

Other than that, stalk Nikki's blog for her post, because her pictures came out better than mine and because she's neat-o.

A have some pizza here, for emergencies. Remember the pizza pouch from some months ago?  Here is a more sanitary version of it, a group gift from Xin which is available in their store which is nice because I think it was released some while back. 

My clothes are oldish, a sweatshirt from a gacha at Ugly Duckling and mid-length shorts from Petite Bowtique, but my tights are new, they're from La Zo at the new round of Kid to Kid that opened today. My boots aren't available yet, they're by Little Llama at Lucky 7, which perhaps predictably opens on the 7th. 

The star-shaped pillow behind me is from Sweet Hearts Design at Kid to Kid, and my other decor is by Windsong at The Play Room.

So it got to be a new year and so I'm like, doing a thing, this thing, remember the time I used to do this thing? More relevant: remember the time I used to do this thing without opening my posts with some passage about remembering how I used to do this thing? 

Yeah....Good times...

So, okay, I spent most of December wearing sweaters, almost all of them from Ugly Sweater gachas by 8Bit, soooo many ugly holiday sweaters. But it's not so much December anymore so Xmas sweaters aren't the thing, so here I am in their Bee-Mas sweater, which I do actually own in RL. Except it's a little bigger in RL. My skirt looks plain but I can't believe I never used it before, it's so incredibly simple and versatile, it's from Petite Bowtique, a gacha which I guess might not be available anymore, but it was the Hogwarts uniform one, and I'll have to remember to use it more! 

So like, my boots. ALL DECEMBER, I wore variants of these amazing reindeer boots from Blubb. They were SO cute, and it helped that my cabin at my school's winter camp was The Reindeers, I wore the heck out of those boots in all their different styles, but they're none of them available now, so I picked up some other boots from Blubb, these polkadot rainboots. Why Blubb? 1. Because I <3 Jennah, who owns it, and 2. because alas, Blubb is closing down and is in the midst of a sale, everything 75L or less! 

My adorable hairband is from Tic Tot Toe at the new round of Hello Beautiful, and includes 6 colours in the pack but this red one goes with my boots nicely, and I like the fact that sugar skulls aren't just for November 1st! I don't wear a ton of jewelry, but this gingerbread man ring was part of an xmas present and is so cute, it's by Yummy from the Arcade, which has just finished so you'll need to track it down at a yardsale somewhere I guess. 

Finally my nails (at least in the second picture) are from Hello Dave's wonderful advent calender, which I played religiously because of how Hello Dave's nails are Omega compatible so I can wear them with my TD. Just because I'm 6 doesn't mean I can't rock a fierce manicure.

My family's been off on a lovely camping trip, my daddy did such a nice job decorating the campsite, so I wanted to take some pictures here. Trying to get a bit less studio-based, but it's haaarrrrd worrrrk, man. 

My whole outfit today is by Kylee's Place, at the newest round of Kid to Kid, the sweater and boots have like, a billion color-change options in a HUD, and the fox graphic is adorable. 

The superfun hair I'm wearing is by Doe at The Seasons Story, I really like Doe's unrigged hair for my TD, they have a lot of quite innovative styles. On my wrist, pride and joy, Noodles Slider Bracelet from The Epiphany gacha event, which I have completed in both Gold and Silver, including the fancy points prize charm for it. They don't show up well in the pictures, but I'm wearing some properly cute earrings by Rigby at Hello Beautiful.

I wanna take a sec to explain about the pile of things I wear on my face now. It's weirdly convoluted. I recently started wearing the skin I wear on my Big, which is Pink Fuel Harley in Porcelain, mostly because it's fairer than the Pink Fuel Doll skin I'd been wearing before. However, I prefer Doll's mouth for being a kid. So, on a tattoo layer, I'm wearing the "neutral lip + blush remove" layer, which is really intended as a makeup remover for Doll. It's not a perfect match around the mouth, but you really only see that if you know and you're looking close. So don't look close. 

I'm boosting my cute with PF Harley's Button Nose + Freckles tattoo along with my traditional Pekka Star Freckles, but the other big adaptation I've made to this skin by taking advantage of tattoo layers is at the eyes. Harley generally has some eyeliner, and after some searching, I found a layer by Des Lunes intended for use by kid avatars, which hides unwanted eyeliner, and is tintable for a good match. However for me, this took away a certain amount of definition I wanted, SO I put eyeliner ON TOP OF THE EYELINER REMOVER. Because I can. It's by Tuli and also tintable and very very subtle, but offers just exactly the level of defintion I was looking for. Oh and then my friend decided I looked too pale, and so she gave me her personal cheek blush, hah!

Ohai, remember when I used to blog? Yeah, me either, but here I am, smaller than ever! Various changes have occurred, various busy-ness and family-ness and other excuses, which have led me to decide to switch my the focus of my blog to kids stuff, since I've been a grownup, idk, 5 times since I last posted back in August. So if you were here for the occasional sideboob I'd throw out there, soz, you're out of luck, I'm cute now.

So yesterday I went to a party, which isn't as rare an occurrence as it used to be, and it was a Dia de los Muertos party and seriously, any excuse to dress for that (see: last year). Added to that, the single biggest thing I miss now that I'm mostly a kid, is wearing makeup, and this is ideal. The millions of layers we can now wear really helps with this - my sugar skull makeup is from La Boheme and actually comprises 3 individually tintable layers, which are available in various transparencies too, for a whole lot of color customization options. With it, in my face pic, you can see this amazing gold under-eye liner made by takagigraves, owner of Oleander, some years ago, and isn't actually available to buy. He mentioned it on Plurk as I was writing this and Iwaslike "OMGYAAAASSS" and politely demanded it and retook the one pic. I love the extra dimension it adds. 

My flower headbands are by Cosmic Dust and I completely love. My earrings are from Schadenfreude, from the Pearl Mori set. The top of my dress is from a halloween costume I was wearing, Ariel Day Dress by tinyOwl, but I thought it went well for the look I was going for here. The skirt is by Ugly Ducking, and is in two pieces, I ran into a friend wearing it and instantly hurried out to get it myself, in several colors. I have no shame. The tights are by Turducken, bought in a flurry of tights-excitement as the weather got colder, and my boots, oh man, I hope they release more of. They're by Dappers and Darlings at Limited 50, and are all Halloween-themed but they're so nicely made, I love them. The Materials on them is great. 

I didn't suddenly become good at decorating, my pictures were taken on-location where the party was, most of the stuff here is from New Trails and sadly no longer available.

Still alive! I'm sure nobody was actually concerned but here's a reassurance anyway, I live, and if my outfit is anything to go by, so does grunge.

First off though, I am so very excited about the newest version of Firestorm, which includes all sorts of good things, but particularly the new Layer Limits which allows you instead of, 5 jackets, 5 alphas, 5 socks, and so on, a total of 60 of any combination of system clothing layer. For us mesh body wearers, what this means is, ALL THE MAKEUP, since we're basically otherwise just wearing like, an alpha or two. Sooo the effect is a bit subtle but I have PILED on the auxiliary face tattoos. I've got extra moles, and a thing that makes my nose more buttony, and TWOOOOO eyemakeups, and a lipstick AND a shader to make my open mouth look more natural. AND THAT'S JUST THE BEGINNING. Seriously I am mad excited about this.

I ended up dressing like a moody teen from getting dressed around my SL mom, Christa Echos. This put me in an understandably rebellious mood, and then we went to Kustom9, which, idk if this was official or planned, but seemed to have a nice 90s grunge motif going on, and that's where I got the plaid shirt and cropped top combo by Amitomo, the tank includes a color-change HUD too. My hair by Olive and shorts by Monso are from where we went next, Shiny Shabby, and were serious must-have items.

My boots I have actually featured before, by Bubble, and are appropriately called My Fav Boots.
