lotd241016 - Time travel and Laziness

This blog post has been weeks in the making! Because I'm lazy, that is, though. I haven't been in SL much and every time I log in I see this outfit I'm wearing and go "gosh I look cute, I should blog that" and then....I don't. So I've been wearing this for like 3 weeks now. I stink. (I am so procrastinating that I wrote this post yesterday and didn't actually finish, so now the dates are wrong, IT'S LIKE TIME TRAVEL)

So lets do the rundown!

I generally avoid applier clothing unless it's for layering, it just feels like a step backwards a lot of the time but it actually does have a lot of advantages, for instance, fit will always be perfect. And this incredibly pretty cami by Nylon Outfitters, the lace on it is so delicate, I feel like it would be difficult to get that feeling of lightness on full mesh clothing. PLUS wearing it, I don't have to worry about what fits underneath my coat.

My Thessaly coat came out last year, by Schadenfreude, but at the time I was a Toddleedoo, and so I wasn't able to take full advantage of its awesomeness. It has a big hood, which you can wear up or down with a click, and comes in several eye-soothing shades with Allegory's wonderful swirls on them, and looks even better if you're a little more statuesque than I am.

My pants are by Blueberry and what I love about them is that they're not ultra low-cut (no bum crack here) but they're also not soooo high-waisted that you can't find a shirt that works with them. I fatpacked the colourful leather option, but there's also a denim pack. I like how the orange here is a sort of creamsicle shade, it's like a more soft autumn look.

The shades of green in my fri.day shoes mirror the greens in my jacket so nicely, and I've accesorized with a ribbon choked from an old Junbug gacha - I played that thing so much, I've got about a million of these, and GDit's new Fishing for Compliments set, comprising of the bag and the matching colorful fishscale nails.

I didn't capture it too well in the pictures, but this hair by Doe is actually an updo, the lush curls at the front are in fact the bangs of the style, it's really very pretty.

Now I feel like I need to wear something spookier, the creepytime approacheth and here's me all pumpkin-spice-latte fallwear!

It was strongly implied to my that my posts should have titles, so here is one, isn't it beaut?

Yes.

A have some pizza here, for emergencies. Remember the pizza pouch from some months ago?  Here is a more sanitary version of it, a group gift from Xin which is available in their store which is nice because I think it was released some while back. 

My clothes are oldish, a sweatshirt from a gacha at Ugly Duckling and mid-length shorts from Petite Bowtique, but my tights are new, they're from La Zo at the new round of Kid to Kid that opened today. My boots aren't available yet, they're by Little Llama at Lucky 7, which perhaps predictably opens on the 7th. 

The star-shaped pillow behind me is from Sweet Hearts Design at Kid to Kid, and my other decor is by Windsong at The Play Room.

My family's been off on a lovely camping trip, my daddy did such a nice job decorating the campsite, so I wanted to take some pictures here. Trying to get a bit less studio-based, but it's haaarrrrd worrrrk, man. 

My whole outfit today is by Kylee's Place, at the newest round of Kid to Kid, the sweater and boots have like, a billion color-change options in a HUD, and the fox graphic is adorable. 

The superfun hair I'm wearing is by Doe at The Seasons Story, I really like Doe's unrigged hair for my TD, they have a lot of quite innovative styles. On my wrist, pride and joy, Noodles Slider Bracelet from The Epiphany gacha event, which I have completed in both Gold and Silver, including the fancy points prize charm for it. They don't show up well in the pictures, but I'm wearing some properly cute earrings by Rigby at Hello Beautiful.

I wanna take a sec to explain about the pile of things I wear on my face now. It's weirdly convoluted. I recently started wearing the skin I wear on my Big, which is Pink Fuel Harley in Porcelain, mostly because it's fairer than the Pink Fuel Doll skin I'd been wearing before. However, I prefer Doll's mouth for being a kid. So, on a tattoo layer, I'm wearing the "neutral lip + blush remove" layer, which is really intended as a makeup remover for Doll. It's not a perfect match around the mouth, but you really only see that if you know and you're looking close. So don't look close. 

I'm boosting my cute with PF Harley's Button Nose + Freckles tattoo along with my traditional Pekka Star Freckles, but the other big adaptation I've made to this skin by taking advantage of tattoo layers is at the eyes. Harley generally has some eyeliner, and after some searching, I found a layer by Des Lunes intended for use by kid avatars, which hides unwanted eyeliner, and is tintable for a good match. However for me, this took away a certain amount of definition I wanted, SO I put eyeliner ON TOP OF THE EYELINER REMOVER. Because I can. It's by Tuli and also tintable and very very subtle, but offers just exactly the level of defintion I was looking for. Oh and then my friend decided I looked too pale, and so she gave me her personal cheek blush, hah!

Yesterday I made this: http://www.fivehearthome.com/2015/01/15/snickerdoodle-mug-cake/ and it was wonderful, I suggest you do likewise. Because I was so full of cinnamon sugar and butter, that is why I didn't get this post done yesterday like I had intended to. So like, sry.

The top I'm wearing today was something I couldn't resist from the last round of Genre, which was Rockabilly. It isn't anymore, sorry, this round is Anime. But last round was Rockabilly and I got this awesome tie-top by Goth1c0 there. You can only really see it properly in my headshot this post because DAAAAAAAMN the ass on these jeans, by Addams, from the current round of Kustom9. 

I faatpacked them because I love the shape so much, but also worthy of much note is that the three sections there are all mix and match to great effect. Not shown here, there is also an attached belt with a skull buckle that can be changed all sorts of ways, or hidden, as I have done here.

My hair is by Doe (formerly Ploom) at the Fantasy Gacha Carnival, it's one of two variations of this particular style, and I love that it lets me do my streaky-thang where I'm too chicken to go all blonde. The roses and headband are texture change too, and the other version has a veil! Very elegant.

Originally I was wearing different shoes with this, but then I saw these by 20.five and was all like !!!!!!! because look at them all laced up like that, they are so very sexy. The lacing can be changed to one of five colours too, which is a nice bonus. 

My tattoo is by Insanya, who has been working tirelessly to update their older stock to the current appliers. Seriously, with all the various parts out there these days, that is no small task, and I really appreciate the work put in, because this tattoo, I do love, and have actually featured on this blog before in its old System state, back in the day, and so on. (the "day" was actually less than a year ago, but that's 12 years in SL time)

And I'm not wearing lashes, because I rather like the effect this liner gives without them. It's dramatic and tired at the same time. Just like me.
