Sporadic blogger here! Actually it's been less than a month since my last post, I'll pretend that's pretty good going. It's not, really. But, pretending is fun. 

So first of all this dress I am wearing, Krakken, by Vicarious Youth. It's at the Big Dreams For Big Kids event,  and uh, I'm not really supposed to be wearing it (it's sized for Regular Kids), but I squeezed my grownup-size bulk into it because I like it so much. So long as I alpha out my boobs and butt, it more or less works. YMMV, tho, because I don't have so much in the way of boobs and butt in the first place, if you're a curvy curvy lady, you might look a little odd with a completely flat chest. But it's an completely awesome dress, and comes in 4 color options AND also includes matching headband and sneakers, which I am not wearing here. 

Note that if you're reading this right now, RIGHT NOW, on the day of posting, Saturday September 3rd until 8PM SLT, it is the RL birthday of Violet Steamweaver, the owner of Vicarious Youth, and she's having a sale where everything in store is priced to her RL age, which as she has put it, is over 25 but under 50! (it's 37, everything is 37L) The store has stuff to fit Toddleedoo and Big Kid, and some stuff for adults too, so gogo fast and get some fantastic bargains! 

Also gogo fast because the shoes I'm wearing are from yesterday's 50L Friday at Ingenue and you might might still be able to grab them now, if you're reading this in the "now" timeframe mentioned in the previous paragraph. My hair, which helps cover the few places the dress doesn't look right with my Maitreya body, is the most recent from Magika and is called Five Minutes. 

Oh oh and, my tentacle baby who I'm taking for a little walkies here is from the Silentsparrow machine at The Arcade, full of various spookycute things, tentacle plants, mandrakes, little demons, spellbooks, all sorts of goodies, so do be sure to check those out. But first! Sale and shoes! Hurry!

I've been playing Grand Theft Auto V for the last few days, as is the craze on Plurk. I played it on PS3 when it first came out, although it's more accurate to say that I assisted my husband. I'm good at the tedious bits. Not so much at the shooty bits. So I'm progressing rather slowly in the story mode, and in Online mode....let's just say I got distracted by the tedious bits. Right now, I've been concentrating on leveling my character's stamina. By cycling around the map a bunch of times on a really expensive yellow bicycle. I know, I'm lame. 

For my look today, I have attempted to recreate to look of my character in the game, and I think I did an okay job. Second Life Nivaya is rather more polished than GTA Nivaya, she also is, um, rather less mannish, shall we say. Because my goodness do female player models in GTA have the broadest shoulders.

The easiest part of my outfit was the glasses, I knew I had some fantastic decorated vintage cateye glasses by Yummy from a few rounds back of Colabor88. Next, the red skinny jeans. I was sure I had something in my inventory, but nothing was quite the right shade. My GTA character's pants are very very red, I've spent enough time looking at them while she's cycling to know how red they are. The ones I eventually bought were from Sakide, whose skinny jeans I'm a big fan of and I know she doesn't wimp out on the bright colours. 

Surprisingly much harder to track down was a black and white striped tank. I would have thought it was a fairly basic item, but I tried all my old standbys for basics and all of them turned up nothing. On my search I found a lovely yellow bike to pose with! Eventually Tee*fy came close enough to what I was looking for, it wasn't full-length or racerback, but I filled the gaps in with an applier tank. Also surprisingly tough to find were just the right kind of skate shoes.

I didn't expect to find exactly the right hair, and I wasn't disappointed. My GTA character's hair is a frizzy disaster, but this hair by Ploom paired with the awesome group gift hairband from Magika I think I've featured here before. It's incredibly versatile, colour-change AND tintable.

The hardest part was the pizza tattoo my GTA character has. Such a thing does not exist in SL as far as I could find. I asked if anyone could quickly make me a custom one with a Slink Physique applier, but nobody was free to do that and then someone reminded me about the Slink Personal HUD, which allows you to make your own tattoos and the like for personal use. After a Google image search and an unspecified amount of time in Photoshop, I dropped my texture into the HUD, and here I am with a completely appropriate pizza tattoo, yay! 

After that, all that was left to do was the makeup, a simple enough task with an inventory like mine (I speculated her polish would be chipped), and a gun, which I know nothing about and the Marketplace furnished me with something that looked more or less correct. And there I was. More or less the same person! Hooray!

My back hurts from playing too much Just Dance. That is the current full truth of my life. It's sad. 

This outfit contains no elements of what I had intended to wear except for the hair. It's one of those things where I was like "well I'll just change that.....and now this bit looks weird...." and so on. I'm leaning too heavily on yellows and purples lately. It's okay though. I dig yellow.

Okay so, my top is from the SLX outfit "Pawned". Ducknipple's SLX outfits which I have been featuring pieces from lately really are excellent value for money. The outfit currently has a promo price of 100L and for that you get this top (which comes in 5 color change options with a HUD), shorts, boots, and jewelry. 

With it I'm wearing Insanya's Ruffle Tutu, which has become a bit of a staple of my wardrobe. It's absurdly short, which in part is what makes it so versatile along with the wide range of colours and patterns it's available in, but the fact remains it is absurdly short. Luckily, so am I, and I have the good fortune to have tights. I've featured these before on my blog, they're by Schadenfreude, and one of the things I particularly love about them is that there are options about the height of the waistband - a lot of other tights I tried showed over the top of this skirt. 

Also by Schadenfreude in this post is my parasol, from the current round of The Seasons Story, and my bracelet, from this round of Collabor88, because I can never wear too much Schadenfreude. 

On the table next to me is a donation item from Xiasumi School Festival, with the proceeds going towards Save the Children: Japan Tsunami Relief. It's by silent sparrow and is adorable spooky-cute ghost-shaped daifuku mochi, which is a snack I love so very much. There's scripted holdable versions and mouthie versions and the tray gives you them and it's awesome.

Starting tomorrow, I am going to be away from home for almost two months. I'll have my laptop, but it's not nearly as nice as my desktop, so while I will be able to be in SL and even blog some, my pictures are likely to be a bit um...worse. So I figured I should make the effort to be a bit more grown-up for this post.

It was tough to stop running around as a kid, so I needed to shock myself out of with by being all sexy, that's what's happening here, and also, here (nsfw) - kind of jarring, I know, but there's a whole slew of sexy events going on right now.

ROMP's Fresh spin-off event is one of these, showcasing a softer, more delicate side of kink. The Capture Me bed by Frogstar is from that event, shown here in the dark wood "Deviant" variant, but also in keeping with Fresh's theme, there is also an "Angel" version with light wood and white sheets. The bed itself is big enough for a small orgy, is loaded with Adult animations and cuddles, and rather importantly, incorporates a lockable cage for those who aren't allowed to play right now.

My Yes, Mistress eyemakeup by The Wicked Peach is also from Fresh, and has variations with either gold or silver liner on the lower lid.

My dress is by Insanya at the Burlesque event which is also going on right now. It comes in 8 lovely colours and a variety of sizes outside of the Standard. The skirt is very short in front and a little longer in the back, and the dress has a lovely bow on the back, and it makes me feel like a disreputable saloon girl.

My shoes are from one of Ducknipple's latest bargain SLX outfits, Brussel. The full outfit comes with a texture-change bustier, skirt, jewelry and these hot shoes, currently available for a promo price of only 100L$!

My usual red hair looked a bit heavy with this look, so I reverted my hair by Magika to its traditional out-of-the-box pale pink, which I must say, I really really like.

I've been running around as a kid the last few days. I tweaked my face around quite a lot and am so pleased with the end result, I've been running round buying kids clothes like crazy.

So my jeans, my TD has been wearing for months, since I last brought her out to play, and they're applier-based and so I needed to search for what they were. Turns out they're by S.O Cute, a store which lives up to its name admirably, and these excellent applier-based jeans are a steal at only 15L$. 

My cozy (and honestly, after all the tacky Christmas sweaters this winter, rather tasteful) sweater is by Just Kidding and my boots are a Rare from Ugly Duckling's gacha at this round of Woodland Treasures gacha event. They've got a little bow on the back, so adorable!

The scarf is actually part of an adults outfit I've blogged part of before - Sakide's Thermal outfit, but shrunk down. I like how nicely it coordinates with the boots. 

My lamb friend is by the always precious silentsparrow, at this round of Kawaii Project. The lambs themselves come in various colours and the bows change via a hud too and there's a yellow bow because hya loves me. Also it's all knitty and woolly, and see the little key on its back? When you click that, it plays (slightly creepy) original music box style music.

I have a terrible habit of buying boobs. I don't actually wear mesh boobs. I actually prefer the somewhat flat-chested look. Even so, I've bought some pre-mesh giant boobies, Tangos and Puffies.Which I never ever wear. Partly because I can't get them to look right, my avatar being on the small side and me generally not wanting giant zeppelins strapped to my front. I'm just compelled to buy them and marvel at how much they don't really look right on me at all.
Today though I found out about the shiny new Lolas Tango Delicq, which are fitted mesh, and I really, really like them. They're still more boob than I'm actually comfortable wearing on an everyday basis, but they fit pretty much seamlessly, and shrink down pretty nicely (although not much more under 20 pts) and they work with physics, which are something I'd completely forgotten about, so now my too-big boobies can jiggle. It's nice and fun but I wish there'd been a demo because DANG that's a lot of money to drop on a novelty. Meanwhile, here I am with some chest.
