Goodness, look at me, wearing clothes intended for adults! Incredible! Not just any grownups clothes, grownups clothes that are coordinated! See the part where my dress matches my shoes. I'm terribly fancy. My tasty vintage dress and shoes combo is from GDit, a new mainstore release. The Dinner Party Set includes a fitted mesh dress for standard and mesh bodies, and shoes to fit both Slink and Maitreya feet. It includes not only the cream with coffee accents I'm wearing here, but also a rich coffee with cream detailing of both, and indeed made me want coffee. The iced coffee I'm carrying is from the Gilded Cage gacha by Tres Blah, from the round of Arcade which has just ended. It's almost my drink of choice from Starbucks - an iced mocha, with no whip. And an extra shot. But this seems milkier than I want. Ah well. 

I'm really enjoying being able to wear makeup again. It's a little more of a challenge trying to find new makeup these days for us stubborn types of don't wear a mesh head, but I'm still having a lot of fun finding new-to-me places that offer tattoo layer makeup. I especially love this lipstick from Shiny Stuffs, who now mostly make stuff for Catwa, but have quite a few system cosmetics, and the pouty shape of these red pinup lips is just glorious. I've also been wearing a lot of Veechi makeup lately, here, eyeliner, which I've paired with glitter from an old favorite of mine, Nox. 

My backdrop here is a rather neat gacha set from Culco from earlier this year, Street Sartorial, it comprises various bits of London-inspired street furniture - wall facades, railings, sidewalks, streetlamps, that sort of thing, and is super-useful for photography sets, I love that this sort of thing is becoming more common.

It's been an exciting week for me! I've joined the team of Seraphim, those lovely angels who cover the events, now one of them is me, go figure! So that's been a lot of work, getting familiar with how things are done and so on. It's fun though, and rewarding. And I've ordered a new PC for my birthday, which is very yaysy! Also, we got a hosepipe in RL. It's the little things that delight me. Sorry, I'm lame. And my blog got a new layout and now it looks less ungood! Which you can see, unless you're reading this via a feed, in which case, click through, my blog got a new layout, now it looks less ungood! :D

You know what isn't lame? The Arcade. Which you might have heard of maybe. Anyway nearly everything in this post is from the June round of The Arcade, there's so much lovely and I've barely even scratched the surface - I've trawled the early yardsales, that's it. 

So you might notice I'm looking a little on the tan side. Pink Fuel's skin in Arcade, Elsie, is GORGEOUS, so fresh and cute. But it only comes in a new tone, Biscuit, which is something like 5 shades darker than my beloved Porcelain. But it's sooo pretty. So so pretty. So we'll pretend I've been out in the sun. In my swimsuit, from Flowey! The Betty swimsuit comes in 12 colours but I like this one best because the colours remind me of the first Malibu Barbie, which I saw in a book about collectible Barbies which I used to be obsessed with. It's actually not at all similar, but it's what it triggers in my head and I like that!

I have two friends with me, from Schadenfreude and silentsparrow. When I first saw Schadenfreude's Kiwis, I screamed at Allegory "KIWIFRUIT BEARS" and then felt stupid because I hadn't meant to say bears. I had meant to say kiwifruit though because sometimes it's fun to be dumb. So I compromised and now shall call them kiwifruit bear birds. It's okay. They're adorable, they can take it. 

Silentsparrow's ridiculously loveable Catkins have some of the friendliest faces I have ever seen, and the majority of them are based on in some way the real cats of various people in SL and Plurk who hyasynth knows. I don't have a cat in RL, so I don't get that honour. It's sad. But not these guys! Except the Grumpy Rare. I assume he's sometimes sad.

Ooh and guys look at my haiiiirrr. It's from the Olive gacha, which isn't just hair this round but a whole sleepy set of furnitures, but this is the most perfect bedhead, look at it, loooook at iiiiit, and that little wisp at the top. It's so very nice. 

And my shoes! YumYums is closing and having a big sale, and as part of that, their gachas are all 25L, and so I got the shoes and here they are and I love them.

I've spent like, 5eva yesterday looking for a particular gacha item and completely failing to find it and man it was a drag. In the end I got something similar and technically better but which made me feel like a big sell-out because it wasn't the thing I was looking foooorrr. I was running around ALL THE YARDSALES dressed like this, which made me feel mildly scandalous, since the Charlotte top and shorts by Flowey at this months round of Collabor88 feels very much like loose satin underwear. Or pyjamas. And it very well might be! The point is, pairing it with these boots made it feel like something a lot more disreputable than it is, and I like it! I'm wearing a soft grey version here but the one I've been wearing most is the Hologram colour which is a watercoloury mix and so very pretty.

The boots themselves are by HOC Industries, an old favourite of mine which has been on a bit of a break of late but are back now yay! They're fantastic value (as HOC Industries always has been), coming with a HUD of 12 colours which can be applied to the main portion of the boot, the heel, the edging and the laces, making thousands of possible combinations!

The other day I took a snap of myself and I was under a projector light and it made the join of my neck here look all shadowed and weird. It reminded me of those rad 90s tattoo chokers that are coming back into style and I got all up on the Marketplace and found this cool one by XYZ for a cool 50L$.

Yesterday being a thoroughly gacha-based day, I dropped a ton at the new round of Fantasy Gacha Carnival. Two bits of my haul I'm wearing here are the tattoo by Identity, and my sexy scary claw by Kibbitz, which I'm wearing on the Slink Gesture hand.

My hair by Pr!tty makes me feel like a classy broad, I like the effect it has on the shape of my face. My eye makeup is by Wicked Peach at the new round of Cosmetics Fair which opens today! The theme is 90s, happily, and so I've paired it with #Adored's wonderfully understated Vague lips, all chilled out desaturated shades of grey. And I'm on a total septum piercing kick right now. Sorry, not sorry.

Well, I'm still on a redecorating my house kick (as you may note if you saw my previous post, the memorial to my dear old cubby. At this point I've got everything shiny and retextured. Now it's a case of refurnishing. This, for me, means lots and lots of yardsaling. LOTS of yardsaling. Which is where my big bonsai friend here came from. Sure, he's small for a tree, but really, very big for a bonsai. Like a giant dwarf.

One thing about going back to the Porcelain tone of skin is, my ears needed retinting, which became a more pressing need when I put on this gorgeous hair by Spellbound at the Dark Style Fair. Boy am I ever out of practice tinting with a HUD. Appliers have ruined me! 

My awesome leather boots are by Lassitude&Ennui at this round of We <3 Role-Play. I like the way they make me feel like an adventurer. Like when I have ham and cheese and a chunk of bread for dinner and call it "Adventurer's Dinner" because it feels like something you'd bundle up in a kerchief before setting off into the woods, where you meet a giant dwarf, rather than being a not very responsible adult. Only, these are boots, and you also can wear them if you're a responsible adult.

I wore this dress by B.C.C at Kawaii Project for a few days in a size too big because I was too lazy to alpha stuff out, and you could totally see all my boobs. Oops. But it's really pretty, and in-person, layered very delicately too, it's worth checking out. 

My matching collar and cuffs are by Noodles also at We <3 Role-Play, and are OpenCollar scripted to do all sorts of fancy things with poses and chains and various RLV features and comes in 6 colours, so even if you don't want to use those features, you can still look pretty!

My septum piecing here by The Horror you can't really see in the picture has a little moon cut out of it, it's so cute. You can get it at The Countdown Room, which is a very limited time event, ends this week, so go hurry there.

Oh you know what I forgot to do but didn't notice until I was typing this up? Change my makeup from my last post. I am REALLY on the ball today.Good job me. Luckily I look awesome. This bold clean liner from Nova is just so pretty, and I love the simplicity of Pink Fuel's lipstains. So it all worked out for the best, really.

While I'm away I'm trying various things with my picture-taking to compensate for a lack of graphics quality. This accounts for the lack of consistency and general...stuffishness here. These particular pictures were taken in the Black Dragon viewer, which is why they're rather less jaggedy than in my last post, but they also came out terribly dark, so I've fiddled around in Pixlr. 

So onto the meat of the stuff. 

My dress (it is a dress, in fact) is the new CreamFresh by Ducknipple and is controlled by HUD in 12 different colours and has an excellent subtle diagonal stripe sheen on it. 

The boots are part of one of Plastik's legendary Fifty Linden Friday "outfits" (which actually amount to more like a mini wardrobe around a theme, always worth picking up). 

While I've been busy, one of the few events I've been sure to hit up is the Creepy Kawaii Fair. First of all my skin from there, by Pink Fuel. It feels funny to go back to a darker Crystal tone from the Vamp, but the Glitter Tears makeup is just to die for. In comes in various variations, and as an excellent bonus, includes a HUD which dispenses all the appliers currently offered by Pink Fuel in one convenient package, though this does not yet include appliers for the Belleza or Maitreya bodies, so here I am wearing the Slink Physique instead.

Also from Creepy Kawaii is this amazing ringletty hair by Ayashi. Ayashi is one of those stores I should shop more often, I really should, because I find myself enjoying their innovative styles very often when I do - this one includes the little devil horns, which can also be hidden. My last Creepy Kawaii purchase in this post is the baby giraffe, from a gacha by Half Deer, which I must admit I rather splurged on, because giraffes are rather my favourite animal, and this one came in so many lovely designs. He's a walking along friend, and the gacha has no rares! Yay!
