My family's been off on a lovely camping trip, my daddy did such a nice job decorating the campsite, so I wanted to take some pictures here. Trying to get a bit less studio-based, but it's haaarrrrd worrrrk, man. 

My whole outfit today is by Kylee's Place, at the newest round of Kid to Kid, the sweater and boots have like, a billion color-change options in a HUD, and the fox graphic is adorable. 

The superfun hair I'm wearing is by Doe at The Seasons Story, I really like Doe's unrigged hair for my TD, they have a lot of quite innovative styles. On my wrist, pride and joy, Noodles Slider Bracelet from The Epiphany gacha event, which I have completed in both Gold and Silver, including the fancy points prize charm for it. They don't show up well in the pictures, but I'm wearing some properly cute earrings by Rigby at Hello Beautiful.

I wanna take a sec to explain about the pile of things I wear on my face now. It's weirdly convoluted. I recently started wearing the skin I wear on my Big, which is Pink Fuel Harley in Porcelain, mostly because it's fairer than the Pink Fuel Doll skin I'd been wearing before. However, I prefer Doll's mouth for being a kid. So, on a tattoo layer, I'm wearing the "neutral lip + blush remove" layer, which is really intended as a makeup remover for Doll. It's not a perfect match around the mouth, but you really only see that if you know and you're looking close. So don't look close. 

I'm boosting my cute with PF Harley's Button Nose + Freckles tattoo along with my traditional Pekka Star Freckles, but the other big adaptation I've made to this skin by taking advantage of tattoo layers is at the eyes. Harley generally has some eyeliner, and after some searching, I found a layer by Des Lunes intended for use by kid avatars, which hides unwanted eyeliner, and is tintable for a good match. However for me, this took away a certain amount of definition I wanted, SO I put eyeliner ON TOP OF THE EYELINER REMOVER. Because I can. It's by Tuli and also tintable and very very subtle, but offers just exactly the level of defintion I was looking for. Oh and then my friend decided I looked too pale, and so she gave me her personal cheek blush, hah!

Busy busy busy busy! 

You know, Hair Fair starts on the 11th? I won't be making my customary post(s) about it until the week after next though, because I'm going to Camp Hardknock in SL, on my adorable kid avatar. I had hoped to ease into this change with some posts of her, but instead, flailing and panic occurs because there are not enough hours in the day! 

Also coming so soon because it's an exciting week, Wizarding Faire! Opening July 12th. I am a massive Harry Potter fan, longtime readers (who am I kidding?) of my blog might remember my posts on the Wizarding Fair a couple of years ago, I am a Hufflepuff and I ain't even sorry. I love to decorate my house in SL with little hints about my being magical, a cauldron of potion on my stove, a stack of spellbooks as a monitor stand, and so on, so these things here from various creators at the event will my heart with ALL the joy because none of them are like "I am a thing from Harry Potter" and are more like "I am a thing magical people have" and I dig that. The plants, by the way, are amazingly animated, they are so much fun and have earned a permanent place in my home <3

This wand isn't really mine though. Mine is larch wood with a phoenix feather core.

The awesome-creepy Furby tattoo on my thigh is from the Body Art Hunt and is by Operate Bodyshop, and so it deserves a lack of pants, as suggested by my shirt by Oaken at IDK this month which you JUST have time to shop if you hurry!

I've spent like, 5eva yesterday looking for a particular gacha item and completely failing to find it and man it was a drag. In the end I got something similar and technically better but which made me feel like a big sell-out because it wasn't the thing I was looking foooorrr. I was running around ALL THE YARDSALES dressed like this, which made me feel mildly scandalous, since the Charlotte top and shorts by Flowey at this months round of Collabor88 feels very much like loose satin underwear. Or pyjamas. And it very well might be! The point is, pairing it with these boots made it feel like something a lot more disreputable than it is, and I like it! I'm wearing a soft grey version here but the one I've been wearing most is the Hologram colour which is a watercoloury mix and so very pretty.

The boots themselves are by HOC Industries, an old favourite of mine which has been on a bit of a break of late but are back now yay! They're fantastic value (as HOC Industries always has been), coming with a HUD of 12 colours which can be applied to the main portion of the boot, the heel, the edging and the laces, making thousands of possible combinations!

The other day I took a snap of myself and I was under a projector light and it made the join of my neck here look all shadowed and weird. It reminded me of those rad 90s tattoo chokers that are coming back into style and I got all up on the Marketplace and found this cool one by XYZ for a cool 50L$.

Yesterday being a thoroughly gacha-based day, I dropped a ton at the new round of Fantasy Gacha Carnival. Two bits of my haul I'm wearing here are the tattoo by Identity, and my sexy scary claw by Kibbitz, which I'm wearing on the Slink Gesture hand.

My hair by Pr!tty makes me feel like a classy broad, I like the effect it has on the shape of my face. My eye makeup is by Wicked Peach at the new round of Cosmetics Fair which opens today! The theme is 90s, happily, and so I've paired it with #Adored's wonderfully understated Vague lips, all chilled out desaturated shades of grey. And I'm on a total septum piercing kick right now. Sorry, not sorry.

Thisss dressssss. I haven't taken it off for days. It's by Third Eye, and the curves on it are just so very luscious. The textures too, I'm a sucker for galaxy patterns and the like, but the seams and the tight stretch of the fabric is what I love most about the dress. 

What better to go with space than unicorns! Unicorns in space! This month's round of Collabor88 is unicorns - although not in space. My horn is one of several on offer there by Schadenfreude. The Schadenhorns (as I'm calling them) range from unicornitilitarian to super unicorn princessy, with shiny embellishments and optional jeweled headdresses and legendary heaps of colour options and metals and even spiraling in the opposite direction. For the serious unicorn.

Also from Collabor88, MishMish's baby unicorn is so freaking cute I could actually die. It's animated! It wriggles! It also reminds me of the far away days when we all went off to Sensual Stoneworks and did unspeakable things with unicorn stallions to acquire unicorn babies. Getting this one was less shameful, which was nice.

My little little rings are by Noodles, they're their entry in this round of Oh My Gacha. They're individual and come in four different metals, there are 12 of them, all over the various fingers. I love the variety of them, and how delicate they are, they can be worn individually to be very subtle or lots together for a really cool effect. Behind me is the other OneWord release by Atooly Home, I love clouds so much!

I am not good at late December. I just get this whole post-Christmas malaise, last year I just stopped blogging after Christmas day, and didn't pick it up again until like, May? I'm trying not to do that this year. But it's such a weird time. You spend so much of December amassing stuff in green and red and stripes and snowflakes and tinsel and lights and then there's a whole big day of woo yay peace-on-earth-and-goodwill-to-all-men and presents and tangerines and then it's back to life as normal and it makes my head feel weird. It's like, there's still months of winter to go, but that stuff just doesn't feel right in late December. It feels like that stuff is done with and we should be getting ready for Spring already. I dunno. I just don't know what to do with it. 

^ that's what happens when I let myself ramble. Sry.

One thing that does give the last week of December a bit of structure is New Years and the implication therein of partying. So here's this nice dress, Lets Dance, by Precious Designs. It comes with a colour change HUD with 7 different colors for the top, and there are also matching shoes, which I am not wearing here, but they are pretty sexy and have a spectacularly high heel. Yes, even higher than what I'm wearing now.What I am wearing right now are ieQED's Coral Loafer in Tinsel Tree, which straddle the line between classy and enormously tacky so elegantly that I can't even. Not shown in my pics in the insane sky blue the soles of these shoes are. I love them.

My hair is part of a very generous Christmas group gift from Little Bones. You get 5 different styles, and a HUD with 8 different shades of the Holiday Dips, that is to say, the red and green tips you see here. 

My ears, fill me with deep guilt and make me feel like I'm cheating. I've been wearing Allegory Malaprop's Fey ears since they first came out, nearly 5 years ago. But then everyone on Plurk was showing these Mandala ears, with their decorated tips and all the options they have and ommmmggggggg. They really really are beautiful, just gorgeous, they have 3 shape options, human, pixie and elf, and for a limited time at The Mens Dept, they're also I think half price? Rendering them an unmissable bargain. I still reserve the right to feel like a traitor for wearing them though.

These nails are also an excellent bargain tho. When I was at Nova Bodyshop the other day, they were half price, 25L, for like 10? 12? different red/white and red/black designs, and there's a monochrome set for the same price too. 

With my unsureness of how to decorate, I did another pass at this round of Liaison Collaborative. Looook at the sweet little paper town, complete with flickering tealights inside by Alouette. It's a gacha but with no Rares, so I was able to amass the entire town relatively quickly. By coincidence, Paper Towns is also my favourite John Green book. Just sayin.
