This blog post has been weeks in the making! Because I'm lazy, that is, though. I haven't been in SL much and every time I log in I see this outfit I'm wearing and go "gosh I look cute, I should blog that" and then....I don't. So I've been wearing this for like 3 weeks now. I stink. (I am so procrastinating that I wrote this post yesterday and didn't actually finish, so now the dates are wrong, IT'S LIKE TIME TRAVEL)

So lets do the rundown!

I generally avoid applier clothing unless it's for layering, it just feels like a step backwards a lot of the time but it actually does have a lot of advantages, for instance, fit will always be perfect. And this incredibly pretty cami by Nylon Outfitters, the lace on it is so delicate, I feel like it would be difficult to get that feeling of lightness on full mesh clothing. PLUS wearing it, I don't have to worry about what fits underneath my coat.

My Thessaly coat came out last year, by Schadenfreude, but at the time I was a Toddleedoo, and so I wasn't able to take full advantage of its awesomeness. It has a big hood, which you can wear up or down with a click, and comes in several eye-soothing shades with Allegory's wonderful swirls on them, and looks even better if you're a little more statuesque than I am.

My pants are by Blueberry and what I love about them is that they're not ultra low-cut (no bum crack here) but they're also not soooo high-waisted that you can't find a shirt that works with them. I fatpacked the colourful leather option, but there's also a denim pack. I like how the orange here is a sort of creamsicle shade, it's like a more soft autumn look.

The shades of green in my fri.day shoes mirror the greens in my jacket so nicely, and I've accesorized with a ribbon choked from an old Junbug gacha - I played that thing so much, I've got about a million of these, and GDit's new Fishing for Compliments set, comprising of the bag and the matching colorful fishscale nails.

I didn't capture it too well in the pictures, but this hair by Doe is actually an updo, the lush curls at the front are in fact the bangs of the style, it's really very pretty.

Now I feel like I need to wear something spookier, the creepytime approacheth and here's me all pumpkin-spice-latte fallwear!

Like most of the universe, I have been playing Pokemon Go and having a lovely time at it. Three guesses what team I...well. Yeah. It's a given really. It's the most Hufflepuff of all the PoGo teams for sure! But I've been playing Pokemon almost since the start. ALMOST. My first was Pokemon Yellow, which ties in nicely with Instinct. I guess Gen 1.5, I've been playing since. On my I think Pokemon Y Black 2 card, I've got a full living Pokedex, all 650 pokemon who existed up to that point, transferred painstakingly from games going back to the era of GameBoy Advance. 

I'm pretty cool. (this is a lie)

So, onto what I'm wearing here! My t-shirt is one I actually have in RL, albeit in a rather more form-fitting size. It (the SL version) is from Vicarious Youth, upon whom I became somewhat dependent in the period I was an SMB-sized child, but for a lot of her stuff she actually offers a LOT of sizes, for instance this baggy tee includes standard sizes for male and female adults, big kids, and toddleedoo kids. It's a really nice comfortable fit. 

The majority of my accessories here are from a gacha by Astralia at the Manga Fair 2016, which features pokedex thingies, visors, belts, pokeballs and so on, in all the team colors plus Jigglypuff pink, and some rather fantastic Rare backpacks. 

My boots are by Schadenfreude, and are actually rather festive snowboots, but I felt like they served me better for the idea of hiking around a forest hunting Pokemon than the high heeled sandals I was wearing before!

A have some pizza here, for emergencies. Remember the pizza pouch from some months ago?  Here is a more sanitary version of it, a group gift from Xin which is available in their store which is nice because I think it was released some while back. 

My clothes are oldish, a sweatshirt from a gacha at Ugly Duckling and mid-length shorts from Petite Bowtique, but my tights are new, they're from La Zo at the new round of Kid to Kid that opened today. My boots aren't available yet, they're by Little Llama at Lucky 7, which perhaps predictably opens on the 7th. 

The star-shaped pillow behind me is from Sweet Hearts Design at Kid to Kid, and my other decor is by Windsong at The Play Room.

Ohai, remember when I used to blog? Yeah, me either, but here I am, smaller than ever! Various changes have occurred, various busy-ness and family-ness and other excuses, which have led me to decide to switch my the focus of my blog to kids stuff, since I've been a grownup, idk, 5 times since I last posted back in August. So if you were here for the occasional sideboob I'd throw out there, soz, you're out of luck, I'm cute now.

So yesterday I went to a party, which isn't as rare an occurrence as it used to be, and it was a Dia de los Muertos party and seriously, any excuse to dress for that (see: last year). Added to that, the single biggest thing I miss now that I'm mostly a kid, is wearing makeup, and this is ideal. The millions of layers we can now wear really helps with this - my sugar skull makeup is from La Boheme and actually comprises 3 individually tintable layers, which are available in various transparencies too, for a whole lot of color customization options. With it, in my face pic, you can see this amazing gold under-eye liner made by takagigraves, owner of Oleander, some years ago, and isn't actually available to buy. He mentioned it on Plurk as I was writing this and Iwaslike "OMGYAAAASSS" and politely demanded it and retook the one pic. I love the extra dimension it adds. 

My flower headbands are by Cosmic Dust and I completely love. My earrings are from Schadenfreude, from the Pearl Mori set. The top of my dress is from a halloween costume I was wearing, Ariel Day Dress by tinyOwl, but I thought it went well for the look I was going for here. The skirt is by Ugly Ducking, and is in two pieces, I ran into a friend wearing it and instantly hurried out to get it myself, in several colors. I have no shame. The tights are by Turducken, bought in a flurry of tights-excitement as the weather got colder, and my boots, oh man, I hope they release more of. They're by Dappers and Darlings at Limited 50, and are all Halloween-themed but they're so nicely made, I love them. The Materials on them is great. 

I didn't suddenly become good at decorating, my pictures were taken on-location where the party was, most of the stuff here is from New Trails and sadly no longer available.

 I keep meaning to go back to being a grownup, but things keep dragging me back to being adorable! It's a problem. One of those things is this dress! Look how cute it is! It's by a friend of mine, and can you believe it's her first dress?! Even more exciting, it's in 50L Friday Kids this week under the brand Little Ones Couture, so you still have a few hours to pick it up at a bargain price, and it comes in sizes for bigger kids too, not just Toddleedoos, AND AND AND I'm in the ad for it! Also, it comes with these cute shoes. It's brilliant! 

So, my hair feather that I wore throughout camp has been formally released now by Schadenfreude for the Mix event, and it bears my name (Nivlet!) and has matching cute button bracelet and I am ALSO in the ad for that! As a grownup. It's been a pretty big week for people making me wear stuff and take pictures of me in it. 

Another thing that's been keeping me little is storytime with my friends, so my little props here are reading themed. The trolley and beanbag are from a gacha at a new kids event called Fairytale Forever and are by BoWillow as part of their excellent Reading Corner set. My boat o' books is also from a gacha, by Nomad, this time at a new-to-me even called Kid to Kid. This month that event is all narwhaly which is AWESOME. Just to round off the gacha bounty, the words on my wall are by NACH, from yet another new event, Gacha Garden, and I played that machine SO much to get the exclusive fairy door "seed of inspiration". SO worth it.

Really my kid av is too young for Hogwarts but by startling coincidence I happened to come across this Magical Me school uniform gacha for Toddleedoos at Petite Bowtique today and it seemed like fate. 

My broom is equipped with 6 adjustable poses, and is by The Pose Shop at Wizarding Faire, and my Hipster Harrys glasses by Purr make me look super studious. I'm trying to grab the Flying Key by Edyn, which is why I'm attempting such a tricky manouvre for a little kid, but I've got my trusty Niffler buddy by Ohmai as counter-balance. I may be a Hufflepuff, but that brave Niffler is surely a Gryffindor. 

I just wanna talk real quick about my nails here. They're by Figure, and what makes them fun in particular is that they include Omega appliers, and I've recently discovered the existence of Omega applier kits for Toddleedoo. This allows me as a little tiny person to wear anything with an Omega applier, with a few exceptions, but this includes nails! Which makes my options for pretty fingers much much wider. Yay!
